Antonio Vs Liverpool at Anfield - Should he play?
Word from the Physio Room os

"He's just feeling something a little bit in his hamstring. We think he feels it's just cramping so it's not serious, but we're not too sure."

On that basis and,, given is fragile hammies, should we rest him for a week or play him for an unlikely win?

If he is fit to play by the end of the week, he starts for me

Of course we should play him you fucking lightweight.

Small time attitude to even think about resting him. Twat.

I think we could do a job there, with no Van Dijk and a shaky defence.

If he feels better, then play him. I would give him a rest v Fulham and Sheffield United, as I think those matches might suit Haller.

For years there has been accusations of lack of ambition at this club.

Suggesting we rest our top goalscorer in a testing game such as this gives some weight to these claims.

Of course he plays if fit.

He is the form of his life, why anyone would want to see him benched is beyond me.

Apart from this not being worth a thread, you then compound that with a typical small time WHU fan attitude in writing a game off! Tit.

no question he has to start. If he needs to rest his hamstring give him the fulham game and the international break off.

Ideally yes, but not if he's not 100%.

The last thing we need is to rush him back and put him out for 8 weeks because he's made the injury worse. Then that puts us in a bad position.

Short term pain for long term gain. Let Haller start the game and see what happens. He's the other option so we need to use him more then just for 10 minutes at the end of a game.

Admiral's point I presume is that IF he is not 100% fit then we should consider not playing him.

If he is 100% fit then obviously we should play him.

But we've effectively injured him in previous seasons by playing him too much and his hamstrings can't take it. I'd rather rest him for Liverpool IF he is even 5% unfit.

I'd love to see him out there terrorising a VVD-less defence, but i'd rather not do unnecessary damage and save him if he's not 100%

Thankfully we can leave these types of decisions to the qualified medical team and not to the yellow mattress brigade on here.

Re: Antonio Vs Liverpool at Anfield - Should he play?
Should be a purely medical decision.

If he can play without it being a serious injury risk, he should play. If he can't without running the tisk of seriius injury l, he shouldn't play.

Regardless of the opposition.

If he is fit he plays, any doubts then rest him. I seem to remember that had Fabianski not had a nightmare last time we played up there we would have won so we must have a chance of getting something.

With the other piss poor striker options we have I'd play him if he was only 50% fit rather than that fucking cunt Haller.

If he's not fit, I'd play Bowen there with Yarmelenko behind him.

Re: Antonio Vs Liverpool at Anfield - Should he play?
Yarmolenko plays up front for Ukraine and did for Dynamo kiev, so him and Bowen up front is another option to the mardy Fenchman.

Re: Antonio Vs Liverpool at Anfield - Should he play?
Yarmalenko reminds me of Bergkamp, although our bloke probably travels better.

I think Liverpool struggle with balls played behind or over their defence. Haller's movement is nowhere near good enough to cause them a problem.
